Camp Blakey is a full day five-week summer programme aimed to provide a safe, friendly and most important FUN environment to develop skills and friendships. Although Camp Blakey 2009 opperates every weekday, places are allocated once a week for five weeks for your school. For example, if your child attends Hardwick Green Primary, Harrow Gate Primary or Rosebrook Primary this would give your child the opportunity to attend Camp Blakey each Monday.
The cost of attending Camp Blakey will be £1.00 per day, with the exception of watersports, which will be £2.00. Watersports will be only offered once over the five-week period. Please indicate your preference of sessions and complete the booking form and return your form to school by Friday 10th July 2009. Once your child has been allocated a space then payment will be requested to secure the place. Transport can be provided, please indicate when booking if and when you require transport. A member of Camp Blakey staff will be on the bus to and from the pick up point. Pick up times will be confirmed once places are allocated and paid for. Some activities have limited numbers so be sure to book quickly. The maximum number of children to attend the camp will depend on the activities taking place. Please be aware that numbers are very limited for watersports and cookery. All staff will be CRB checked prior to starting work and briefed about any medical conditions of children. To highlight the success of the camp, we will gather photographs and Video evidence of activities that are taking place throughout the programme and therefore consent is required for your child/ren.Your child will need top bring a packed lunch each time they attend Camp Blakey. Watersports The watersports will be delivered for 3 weeks of the summer programme for children aged 8 years and over. The session will run from 9am until 5pm and will be a full day of watersports at the Castlegate Quay Multi Sports and Football The sports and football will be delivered for the full 5 weeks of the summer programme. The sessions will include Street Cheer, Futsal, Multi Sports Fitness sessions, Wii Sports, Street Dance & Multi Gym sessions. The children and young people can choose an am or pm session. Sports are to be delivered from two sites; Stockton Town Football Club and Blakeston Secondary School. The sessions will run from 9.30am – 3.30pm Performing Arts and Music Arts and Music will be delivered for the full 5 weeks, split into two elements as follows: • Performing Arts will be delivered for 2 weeks of the summer programme for the children and young people. • Arts and Music will be delivered for a further 3 weeks for the children and young people The sessions will be delivered in a well-equipped drama studio or classroom and themed around ideas from the children and young people. The sessions will run from 9.30am – 3.30pm Cookery Cookery will be delivered over 3 weeks of the summer programme and offered to children 8 years and older. This will involve the children working with an experienced chef to produce some fantastic healthy meals on a budget. The sessions will run from 9.30am – 3.30pm Digital Media Digital Media will be delivered 1 week of the summer programme and offered to children and young people 8 years and over and will cover topics such as digital film making, robotics and podcasting. The sessions will run from 10am – 4pm |
